Alright, kids, listen up. The homework for this week is to listen to Beautiful Bastard and jot down each representation of the toxic relationship between Chloe and Bennet.
I am pretty sure this book started as fanfiction, or at least something written online but not a book. The sex scenes in this book are intense, but they don't talk at all. Every single scene is literally, "ugh, I hate him. He's so mean - they fuck - wait do I have feelings for him? - they fuck - no, he's an asshole," and vice versa when it's his pov.
Don't get me wrong, I'll probably listen to the other books, because, I mean it's entertaining since it is so shitty in their relationship sense. However, this is so freaking toxic, and the miscommunication trope that almost always happens in a romance book is HUGE and really f cking annoying.

I had no idea this was coming out this early. I thought I had to wait until August. Now I wish I hadn't read it within days once I knew it was out. The idea of a new book was better than the actual book.
The mystery in the book is interesting and fits within the series, but it doesn't even matter that the mystery is good with solid suspects and theories. The focus of the book is the personal dilemma between Stevie and David. She's all, "oh, I want to sleep with my boyfriend but idk how to be sexy, and he has a singular female friend." While he's all, "oh, I don't deserve her, and I'm so 'pick me', and ugh."
The miscommunication at the end is also the actual worst, but I guess it sets up the next book? At least, I think there will be a next book. Although I am unsure if I want to read the next one after the last two... They just weren't like the original three.
