This was completely ridiculous in the best way possible! Exactly what I was hoping for when I picked this up, it was so much fun. The plot was predictable (though not necessarily a bad thing), and the writing a little cheesy, but overall it was a good time!

This was so much fun! I’m obsessed with fantasy based on mythology, so add some incredibly well written smut in there and I’m sold! It does take a very long time for the romance part of the plot to even remotely kick in, but the wait was well worth it. And getting to know all this beautifully macabre Finnish mythology while they travelled through the underworld was so cool, I had a great time reading it! The plot was a little basic, and the writing could be really cheesy at times, but it added to the charm of the story and I still really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for book two! (That cliffhanger though

Not a bad book, it was fun and lighthearted and overall an enjoyable read, but it was sooo cheesy! At times that was a good thing, but other time it was way too over the top. I think this might be the first time I wished that there had been less steam in a romance novel, I literally cringed my way through all of them. It felt weirdly out of place, and they way the steam was written was just so... ick? I have no idea how to describe what I mean by that but YIKES, did not enjoy those parts lmfao. But the rest of the book was good campy fun, and I had a good time with it!

This was so so close to a 5 star on the CAWPILE rating system! I’m tempted to give it 5 stars anyways purely for Zylas’ character and his delivery the most romantic piece of dialogue I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. But I guess I’ll listen to CAWPILE

Oh man I could not put this one down! I read the last 250 pages in one sitting and was almost late for work trying to finish it. It was so much fun! The characters are definitely the best part of this series, and of course Zylas is my favourite lol. I love the humour in it, this book had me laughing out loud on several occasions. The plot was great but I find it takes more of a backseat compared to the characters and their relationships, but I’m not complaining about that since I love the characters so much. That little bit of a cliffhanger at the end though

This was not at all what I was expecting it to be, but it was still an excellent read! It was maybe a little underwhelming at times, and slower paced than I would prefer, but overall I had a really good time getting sucked into this world. From everything I’d heard from other people, I thought this was going to be a lot heavier on the romance than it ended up being, but I was still satisfied with the bits of romance we did get lol. Overall, I’m glad I finally got around the reading this one, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
