I have no idea what I just read but I enjoyed every second of it

This was so fun! I love the whimsy and nonsensical nature of this world, and especially all the side characters (the owls are my favourite so far). I would have preferred just a little bit more logic to help get into this world, but I guess the main characters weren’t afforded that so I shouldn’t either

I wanted to love this so bad! The concept and the setting is wicked, but sadly it really fell flat for me. Both the main characters were annoying in their own way; Asa was naive and self centred and cared way too much about how cute everyone was considering the circumstances, while Riven was so driven by her need to be remembered that everyone and everything took a back seat, and her flair for the dramatics was a bit much. Actually all of the very many dramatics throughout this entire book were a bit much, and there were a whole lot of them. I love the idea of this and I so wish it had been what I was hoping for, but it just really didn’t hit for me
