God, I can’t believe I finished this book series it seems unbelievable looking back at all the developments that happened throughout this book series , I’m just happy my girls got what they deserved in the end , absolutely loved every second of this book.

This book definitely exceeded my expectations, it touched so many important themes and subjects without really touching them in a way. The writing was gorgeous, emotional and deeply thought through. Definitely a book that makes you question things and life.

This book has a lot of messages and meanings that I puts forth. I think if I reread it in a few years I’ll take with me a whole lot of different meanings from this book. It definitely was a sad read, not sobbing sad but more like sorrowful.

Basically this book is a simple mafia romance, I don’t know why it’s advertised like an enemies to lovers dark romance cause it’s neither. The most disappointing part for me was the writing, especially considering the fact that it’s a romance I expected there to be better writing when it comes to those romance scenes but to me they fell pretty flat but I guess that’s how I’d describe the whole book unfortunately. Having read some really good enemies to lovers dark romances, this definitely wasn’t one of them, for people trying find good books in that genre and trope I’d recommend Veronica Lancet.

I don’t know why but this book felt like a drag to read. I just couldn’t get into caring about any of the characters or what was happening,the writing just didn’t feel engaging and captivating in any way. I can’t really pin point exactly why this book just didn’t work for me which has never really happened before. The hype surrounding this book is definitely unnecessary and unreasonable there’s so many better romance books out there with similar plots that just have that little bit of magic that pull the reader in and this one wasn’t one of them.

Honestly, I don’t believe I’ve hated a main protagonist more than Elena. The way she treated everyone was absolutely horrible. And furthermore I can’t with the insta love, I get it from Stefan’s pov but not from hers. Like you can’t tell me ,she loved him after kissing him once. Like girl…Truthfully I’d probably put a 1-2 star rating if not for the nostalgic value I got from reading this book.

It’s good for what it describes itself as. Nothing mind blowing, but also nothing bad other than certain food related squirmishes that will never leave me. The characters were enjoyable, interesting, and overall the book is like a fun dark rom com from start to finish.

I read this book in just one sitting. Who knew reading about tennis would be this fun, I definitely didn’t. The writing, the pacing, the character development,honestly it felt perfect. The emotions though you get from reading this…girll. I was crying, laughing, smiling like a crazy person and on the edge of my seat for the entirety of this book. Not a lot of people rave about this book comparatively to Taylor Jenkins other books, and honestly it should be just as popular. P.S this would make an excellent movie adaptation, that’s pretty much how it felt reading it, a gripping experience playing through as you read.

Going into this books, I had a feeling that I would absolutely love it. It just manages to immerse you and make you never want to leave. Violet is such an amazing protagonist, you just can’t help but root for her, and don’t even get me started with Xaden or the dragons. Like Tairn has my heart, I never imagined I’d be giddy or smiling like a crazy person every time she’d talk to the dragons. Like why they have to be so lovable
