my first DNF of the year sadly. I tried but already in the small amount of pages i read i could tell this was not going to be for me. a lot of references i couldn't get on board with. it is sad because i think the message that is meant to be reflected from this is the environmental catastrophe. The numbing fact that is happening before our eyes and how it touches indigenous people and land the most; which is a controversy in terms of their culture, on top of the social injustice of it all. I tried but I am not willing to put myself through all these pages when the flow was 'bumpy making it harder to read through it' and already at 20+ pages i felt that this could be written in less volume. hope it finds its audience, and the subject matter is undeniably important and enraging!

Like everything has to revolve around sex? Can’t people just be good without wanting to have sec with a teenager? Cheeses!

Poor writing, repetitive story and unrealistic encounter that was poorly executed.

Too privileged - couldn’t connect

This makes me mad and i see absolutely no point in continuing. I will humbly say that there are novels out there that they are so much better.

I just dont care. and the characters seem so one dimensional and much younger than they are meant to be. hard no.

Probably my issue and not the book but I’m not looking forward to going back to reading so I’m putting it aside for now.

Awww I really wanted to like this one. I’ve been on the hunt for wholesome mother and daughter relationships but no avail. I know this one is written by a YouTube and well.. it shows.. it started with a promising writing style but got repetitive already at 16% and well. Too much about needing a man not in a healthy way.. I would have enjoyed this ten year ago maybe but I can’t get passed this anymore.
