the first half, amazing. i teared up but it, loved the simplicity and word focus. second half when it started talking about the sex memories and fantasies whilst waiting for the principle.... come on. such a male author thing to do. ruined the rest of the book. 5 stars until page 38. 1 for the rest.
would have liked the first half to be shorter. like the second half better :) audiobook narrator was great!
junk metaphors, language and its absurdity at times, formica tables, tala and shaky earth. like a fever dream.
I learned that poetry is planting a bomb in a garden -a masquerade. Language is not free.
