A lot of misunderstanding happens in the book, the FMC likes to make decisions for everyone that leaves them all unhappy and then wonders why she’s unhappy/ doing certain things.

I’m not really sure what to think of this book. It’s a bit jumbled/unclear at times, like the deal that is made that has Ada going to the castle, why her uncle made a deal with people they are supposed to not like. The significant ages of the main characters are a little off putting especially when they talk of the MMC’s grown children almost being offed by his teenage, half-breed daughter. It’s the “breeder” terminology that I don’t like either, and there’s a lot of knee jerk reactions that could have been avoided. BUT, if I push past all of that the story line is actually pretty good,

for old people I’m surprised they didn’t catch onto the fated mates thing. And I am assuming the with was talking of Ada bringing death when the MMC’s daughter brings down the castle at the end.

I struggled to like this book. The unwavering determination from Rasmie to make Desiree submit to him rubs me the wrong way. He didn’t listen to her concerns, completely ignoring her instead of comforting her. Rasmie is not a hero, he honestly borders on being a villain if he refuses to listen to the wife he insisted on taking.

A quick, spicy read.

They meet in a sex club, spend the weekend together, and by week 2 we’re in love and mated.

A true dark romance. Flick meets Rushe with outside a bar after her ride broke down, and unknowingly walks into something she shouldn’t have. She is taken and almost assaulted until Rushe claims her and becomes her light in the dark.

There is lots of dirty talking in this story, lots of intercourse, almost to the point of it being unrealistic.

I love Loren’s dedication to Olivia, you know, after he decides he doesn’t want to break the bond he unknowingly started after waking up after being beaten.

There is a lot of tension in this book, and not only between Loren & Olivia. The 🌶️ starts around 50% of the book and is packed in after that.

I am heartbroken that Loren’s brother doesn’t get a happy ending/ reunion. I’m doubly upset that his isn’t the second book, you have to read a few more stories before getting to his, but thankfully they are already published.

Logan and Allison are both empaths that find solace in each other from the chaos they endure because of their gifts. They each have some growing to do with personal issues and fears and help each other through it. 
I absolutely loved their devotion to each other, even though they are both reluctant to have a relationship they realize they’re ment to be together and work through their issues with communication.

Though the random insecurity Allison gets at the hospital seems out of character. I like that she still talked to Logan and he helped ease her insecurity by being so open with her.
