Clarification and the world's shortest review: 3.5 stars. The love story did not move me, but Natasha's relationship with her father was the real story here.

5 stars because I think it takes a lot of guts to be as raw and honest as Bella was here.

I loved so much about this book, but I especially loved the language. The storyline itself was interesting enough to keep me reading, but what really grabbed my heart by the seams was Albert's uncanny ability to stop me in my tracks with a simile or extended metaphor. My true rating for this is 4.5 stars. There's one story element that I found lacking, but I won't spoil it here. Such a fantastic read, though, through and through.
