DID NOT FINISH: 50%

another case where it's a good book but i lost steam. will try and pick up soon
inspiring

a fast-paced and tense thriller with tight writing that really conveyed the sense of danger and urgency the characters were in. nora is a very complicated character and i thought her life with all of her different "lives" and how she can still continue on after everything she's been through was really well-written. lovely written relationships with wes, iris, and lee.
medium-paced

this book got me in both my tear glands and my heart. very good writing, especially how the author handled the heavy themes and nuanced characters.

Plot or Character Driven: Character

character-driven ya fantasy with a romance plot tangling it together. if you enjoy allison saft's works, this will be great for you
medium-paced

we lowkey need this at my school it would be so funny. a likeable romcom with a great mc; darcy is interesting and funny and her relationships with both alexander and brooke are well-written. one of sophie gonzales' better works

middling ya fantasy that gets overwrought and complicated. i was so confused when i read this
medium-paced

definitely a book that lived up to its tiktok/twitter hype. i loved yadriel and his relationship with julian. also the fantasy element of this book was well-done fs
