another case where it's a good book but i lost steam. will try and pick up soon

a fast-paced and tense thriller with tight writing that really conveyed the sense of danger and urgency the characters were in. nora is a very complicated character and i thought her life with all of her different "lives" and how she can still continue on after everything she's been through was really well-written. lovely written relationships with wes, iris, and lee. 

this book got me in both my tear glands and my heart. very good writing, especially how the author handled the heavy themes and nuanced characters.

this is such an astonishing, beautifully-written book. definitely recommend 

i really liked this cast of characters and phoebe's perspective was really funny like she just didn't give a fuck 

character-driven ya fantasy with a romance plot tangling it together. if you enjoy allison saft's works, this will be great for you
