this book was excellent like the plot was excellent, the main and supporting cast were excellent and the romance between aideen and meabh was developed well. kavi...now that's a good young man

decent romcom with a cute premise

a really lovely graphic novel about women in history. i wasn't aware of a lot of these women before reading, and bagieu handles their history with humor, charm, wit, and care

gave me less anxiety than the first book but still a good read 

this was one of my first true thriller/mystery books i've ever read so when i say this book was giving me some nasty anxiety i'm not lying

i'm so sorry to this author but the poetry was not good. it made me cringe so badly. also i saw someone say it read like a wattpad romance and lowkey they're right! this is a wattpad romance novel just better executed

i think the strongest part of this book is the characterization of the three mc's... bella, juniper, and agnes were all very excellently written and all had distinct voices and motivations. i also liked the world building and how the magic wasn't dependent just on words, but could manifest in any way necessary.

also august is wasian that man is chinese. YUP i said so
