an excellent debut ya horror novel with a sprinkling of romance. sometimes a family can be two gay dads, their lesbian daughter, and her girlfriend. one of my favorite ya books i would say

sometimes a family can be a centaur and his two gay students who are in love with each other

TOUKO AND YUU. THEY INVENTED LOVE, THEY INVENTED ROMANCE, THEY INVENTED BEING IN LOVE. oh my god i love this story. the art is so gorgeous and the story is so beautiful.

it kills me that they were planning heists over google docs have we not heard of that digital footprint? mama let's research. anyways irene and alex chinese lesbian couple of all time their dynamic made me feel just as insane as the repetitive dialogue in this book. truly staggering how many times there was a repeated line or concept. oh well i thought it was fairly accurate to the asian american experience, if not a bit cliche and tired
