A cute fantasy that is more aimed at middle grade readers. Some YA errs on the side of angst, and some on the side of sunny naiveté. This book is one of the latter. The protagonist has no dark side and too many heavy moments are resolved very quickly for plot reasons. In a book like this, one or two convenient fixes are expected, but it seemed that there was an infinite supply of dei ex machina to provide everything from the ideal weapons to a swift forgiving of deep betrayal.

They fell in love and nothing really happens. I loved it.

What a ride! While I guessed the identity of the Shadowy Figure pretty early on, I was not ready for the final twist! Warcross paints a vivid world and where it leans heavily into YA romance tropes, the ending really surprised me in a good way. I highly recommend this!

This was fun and light-hearted. It's good if you want a cute time travelling story, but the mystery part let me down.

This is a raw collection of short poems. It is a bit misleading to call it erotica because, although it does include erotic poems, it also deals with sexual assault.

A fun coming-of-age romp that got a bit muddled with the twist at the end. If you enjoyed this I would recommend When No One Is Watching by Alyssa Cole.
