Read part for class and why would I want to continue. 

Just got bored with it :/ 

Just not my vibe. Wasn’t feeling it. 

I wish I had just read the titular story - that was five stars, and I’ll be thinking about it for a while. After that, though, they’re all a little lackluster. 

Maybe I’ll come back to this, but this was entirely too much for my brain to handle right now. Too much explanation, not enough exposition. 

I don’t have the patience to be reading a book that starts off as slow as this. It had me in the first 10 pages and then didn’t get me back for the next 40, and I just don’t think it’s worth it to continue. 

Felt way more juvenile than I was hoping for. The content is adult, the writing style is low end of YA, and I really couldn’t get into this world that Henderson was building. Not bad, just not for me. 

I might revisit this, but as for right now, I’m like 50 pages in and bored as hell, so I’m just gonna leave it. 

Just… another disappointing horror anthology, for me. Well-written, just not my cup of tea. It’s all about the minutiae in this small town, and it’s somewhat interesting, just not what I thought I was getting into. 

I’m going to be so honest: this is just quite obviously out of my age range and interest level. All it took for me to want to close this book was the immediate “I’m not like other [insert thing here]” trope, and the mention of a current social media platform (TikTok). It just really was already not doing it for me. It reads like middle of the road fanfiction, and if I wanted to read that, I’d just open Archive of Our Own.
