Picked this up at my library on a whim when I saw the beautiful cover on display, and I am not disappointed!

For a YA fantasy influenced by Japanese fantasy and lore, I was captivated from page one. Loved it, would happily re-read or read other books by Traci Chee based on this book alone.

 Loved this book thoroughly when I read it last year, and I look forward to many re-reads! 

 I don't have much to say about this one except that I felt it was a really good wrap up to Feyre's main story, paving the way for the novella and Silver Flames. Thoroughly loved the adventure, action, and intensity of this one as it bookends the first 3 books like a trilogy. 

A friend recommended this to me, and I'm so glad she did! This book alone got me back into reading.

I can understand that this book or series isn't for everyone, and that is okay! For me, it has almost everything I'm looking for in a book - fantasy, romance, found family, world building that is just enough to understand the world but not too much that I'm overwhelmed.

I found this a really good palette cleanser after the first 3 books before jumping into Silver Flames. It was fluffy, it was cheeky, it was fun, and I look forward to other small novellas in this series to help flesh out the world between the big events.

After binge-reading the first 4 books, I quickly picked this one up, and it is one of my favorites in the series. 

Nesta's character development is to die for, and I definitely plan to get my own paperback copy when it comes out, so it will match the rest of my set. Many re-reads are in my future

Wished I had DNF'd in the first part of the book, but I hung around since I haven't read anything by this author before. Upon finishing, I've decided to not read his other words since, I assume, his other works revolve around a similar topic. Nothing too in your face, at least in this book, but it just wasn't my cup of tea because of my history with religious trauma.

Technically, I found it well written, and I liked the story-telling structure of changing perspectives at different times in the plot. However, I couldn't get past that this is very much a "believe in God and you will be saved" story. Not for me.

Picked up the physical copy from my library, and while I think the concept is cool, I don't think this style of writing is for me. I considered swapping the physical book for the audiobook, but I've lost interest and want to move on to something else. No rating since I'm DNF'ing so early. 

Read the Twilight Saga in HS and when the movies came out on Netflix, I decided to re-read these.

New Moon made me angry for several reasons, but the main issue I had was the depiction of Bella's depression and how her entire focal point of life was Edward, even when he wasn't present for months. It felt like Stephenie hasn't experienced depression or been around people who show signs of depression, so her depiction was uneducated. While I get the teenagers really focus on their partners (if that's what she was going for), it wasn't for me. 

I re-read this as a guilty pleasure, and I won't be doing it again any time soon - maybe in another 10 years.

I grew up watching the movie, and I read this in HS. I remember fondly loving the differences between the book and movie. I re-read last year, and it felt like a completely new experience. Loved it, though I felt it was kind of disjointed between plot lines at times. I easily followed the plot, though!
