Going back to review this after reading it last year.

From what I remember of this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Adorable character design, loveable characters, and a story I feel is so necessary today. I blew through this in one sitting after checking it out from my local library, and I want a copy for my own bookshelf eventually.
slow-paced

I found this read very middle-of-the-road for me personally. It kept me hooked to finish, but I have a sneaking feeling I won't remember the plot in a few months.

The writing style is good, and I want to read more of Olivia's work, but if they are all based in this realistic world, I don't know if I'll be sticking them out. As much as I like dystopian worlds, I need more fantasy elements to keep myself interested, which isn't this author or book's fault.

I picked it up from my library because the cover was pretty, so I knew the risk. I liked it, but it wasn't the best book ever or the worst either.

I read this when it first came out, and I was only a teenager at the time. Decided to re-read it after binging the movies when they came out on Netflix.

Through the lens of an adult, this book is... meh. There are some key points I really enjoyed mostly due to nostalgia, but overall the experience of re-reading it wasn't enjoyable. As an adult, I could see the red flags better, but otherwise, meh. It was okay.

I wouldn't personally recommend reading this unless you read it like it's junk food - reality tv, celebrity gossip. Just understand that the relationships in this are... how do I put it? Do not use this series as a road map to find love.
