This book was very interesting! I have only read one other by Le Guin and it was not to my taste, but this story is fresh and original, even many years after its publication. I was intrigued by the story, even though it tended to wander. I think this is a founding text for anyone looking to read or write fantasy, but I do not think it is particularly amazing. I think I will re-read it in the future to see if my opinion of it changes, for it seems like the kind of book that grows as you do.
