A fantastic book that left me thoughtful, full of warmth, and in tears. Do not pass this book by.

The "first Gothic novel" certainly has a lot to offer! Despite the Romantic writing style, it is not boring and it has many strong and interesting characters. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the later Gothic works, such as Frankenstein or Dracula.

This series is so great!!! The first book is free and all books are primarily available electronically, but don't let that throw you off. Lindsay Buroker is an amazing writer and the story she crafts throughout these books is fantastic! She self-publishes in order to keep publishing companies from telling her what or how to write and the resulting product is something new and engaging unlike anything you can find on the bookshelves today. Enjoy your ride!
