Blood of an Exile is Brian Naslund's debut novel. The novel gives a fresh take on dragon's and dragonslayers that I throughly enjoyed. You follow five different povs but the main pov is Bershad. There are villains and heroes aplenty in Blood of an Exile. I'm looking forward to more from Brian Naslund.

The Shadow of the Gods was the first book that I read from John Gwynne. I absolutely loved his writing and how he mixed the character building and storytelling. The story follows three povs Varg, Elvar, and Orka. Varg has been added to my favorite characters list. I will be reading more from John Gwynne!
