This was a good sequel. I missed the cast of characters and was glad to visit old and new friends again. I just loved the scenes with James and Will. With the cliffhanger I need the third book now. 

Not Your Idol follows Nina Kamiyama a former member of an idol group. At a group function she is assaulted and she decides to leave the idol group. The story picks up a few months later with Nina dressing as a boy and attending a regular high school. She meets Hikaru Horiuchi who is the only person who knows that Nina is actually Karen from Pure Club. Her attacker is still at large.

It's very rare for me to give a one star to any book. That being said I should have loved this book. It has some of my favorite tropes such as dark academia, gothic romance, forbidden romance, creepy forest, and a creepy castle. I probably should have dnf'd but I did want to know who was behind the mystery.

I believe that Butcher and Blackbird is the first dark rom com I've ever read. The story follows two serial killers that hold a competition ever few months or so to see who can get to the target first. The two fall in love. I will be reading more from this author.

I really wanted to love Fall of Ruin and Wrath especially since it's by a favorite author of mine. Unfortunately I lost interest in the story. About the first 40 percent was good then it went meh, but I liked the ending. There was little to no plot which sometimes I'm ok with that but this story felt like it needed a little more of it.

The story follows two povs. Zafira who is known as the Hunter and dresses like a man. Nasir who is known as the Prince of Death. The two are sent on a similar mission to find an artifact and there paths cross and the story really picks up from there.
