Never Too Far is the second book in the Rosemary Beach series by Abbi Glines. It's duel pov. Blaire found out the secret that Rush was keeping from her and she left and went back to Alabama. She does come back to Rosemary. Rush is so hot and cold.

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors. Rosemary Beach is one of my favorite series. Fallen Too Far follows Blair who moves to Rosemary after her mother dies to stay with her father. Except when she arrives only to learn that her father is in Europe with his new wife. She is stuck with her step brother Rush. Secrets are abound in the first book.

Plot or Character Driven: Character

I enjoyed Heartless Hunter and it is one of my top two reads of March. There's not much of world building but I found that I didn't mind. I was a little disappointed by Rune who is supposed to be the Crimson Moth she just wasn't as bad ass as she could've been. She was more of a damsel in distress that always needed saving. Gideon the witch hunter was written well. I loved his confidence and the way he cared for Rune and Alex. Alex was the sweetest. I loved how he protected Rune. I'm excited to see where the squel will go.

It took me a few chapters to get into When the Moon Hatched but once I did I became invested. With the cliffhanger I need the second book now! I'm rooting for Raeve and Kaan. Pyrok may be my new favorite side character and I hope to see more of him in the sequel.

The story is told in duel povs. Tessa is an apothecary worker from the wilds. When something happens to a friend she decides it's time to break into the palace. Corrick is a prince and the kings justice. The brothers run the country with an iron fist. Defy the Night was a good start to a series.

There are a few trigger warnings such as death of a loved one and alcoholism. I didn't enjoy A Vicious Game as much as I enjoyed the first two books. I thought this was a trilogy but apparently it's not. The first half everyone was mopy and the second half picked up and was more enjoyable. There was a plot twist that didn't need to be a twist considering how the characters just glossed over it.

I wanted more of a revenge plot especially after what happened in the first book. Unfortunately there was very little revenge. I started not to care for Oraya and Raihn in this book. I did some what enjoy the ending.

This had everything that could have made it a five star read for me. Autumn a god of death, a herald who accompanies the dead, and a mystery to solve. By the half way point the writing started to become repetitive and the plot moved at a slow pace.

It took me a few chapters to get into the story but I think that was because I was trying to remember who everyone was. Once I did get onto the stor  I became invested. Adelina makes the story so gripping and makes the perfect antihero.

I love the art style of The Dragon's Betrothed. This volume was both heartwarming and smutty. The story follows Chiharu an author with writers block and Rin the local water dragon god.  Chiharu is promised to Rin as bride. I cannot wait for the next volume to see what's in store for Chiharu and Rin.
