I absolutely loved Devourer of Men. I loved Captain James Hook and Roc. How years have passed and they still cared for Wendy. The two started out as enemies but by the end became lovers. I cannot wait for the second book to see what happens with Captain, Roc, and Wendy and to be back in Neverland.

Jade Fire Gold started out strong but about half way it lost momentum. The climax felt a little rushed. I did enjoy the plot though. With that being said I did enjoy the story.

I love the illustrated cover of Tales of the Celestial Kingdom. I loved being back in the world and being back with the characters. Got some new povs from some of the other characters from the Celestial Kingdom.

Morning Star begins nearly a year after the end of the heartbreaking ending of Golden Son. Morning Star was an intensely unpredictable storyline with the politics, betrayals, and space battles. After so many deaths one in particular that hurt me the end of the war has finally come (or has it?). I was happy with the ending.

For the first half of this volume Rangetsu and Prince Tenyou are separated. Prince Tenyou along with his three elder brothers change a few laws that would make better relations with Ajin. Meanwhile Rangetsu works on her farm and later joins the military. About half way through the two are reunited and Rangetsu mentioned that it took her two years to get back to the palace so she could be with Prince Tenyou. The volume ends with things starting to heat up.

I was hoping the series would get at least a little better with this second book unfortunately it was worse then House of Ash and Shadow. There was little to no plot. It's like the author wrote down three things they wanted to happen and then just filled in the rest with random things. There was no descriptions of the places/locations.
