Red Rising follows Darrow a miner on Mars in the distant future. Darrow's world has a caste system of colors red being the slaves and golds being the elite. There are other colors. Darrow is a red and he's fine being a red. He marries Eo at a young age and their happy together. One day Darrow's life is turned upside-down and he joins the Sons of Ares. He goes throw some advanced genetic procedures and becomes a gold. The goal is to take out the golds from the inside out but first he must survive the Institute. I can't believe thatI put off reading Red Rising for as long as I did. I'm excited to see where Darrow and the gang end up I'm the sequel.

This is the first book that I have read by C. M. Nascosta and very well may be the last. There was so much filler in the story. I liked the main characters to an extent. This book held so much promise but maybe with more editing it would've been better for me.

This was such a cute middle grade although I believe that young adults and adults would also like it. I like Res' growth and his adventure. I like how the story also told about Sofie through letters.

Tijan has become one of my favorite authors and Cole did not disappoint. I loved watching as the relationship between Cole and Addison developed. Cole was a badass and dangerous man. Addison bought out Cole's softer side that he didn't show anyone.

It was a little slow getting into Rebellion. I was a little lost with what was happening. I should have either reread the first three books since I read them as they came out I kinda forgot what happened between the third book to now. I did like the ending better then I did the shows ending.

I originally bought Children of Eden when one of my favorite booktubers was talking about how they enjoyed it. That was years ago and the book has just been sitting on my shelf since then. I decided it was time to finally read it and I'm not sure if the time that I would've loved it has passed. I liked the the beginning but lost interest in the story about half way through. I will not be continuing the series.

I really wanted to love Scavenge the Stars but unfortunately I didn't enjoy it at all. From the beginning Boon and his plans are suspicious. Amaya doesn't ask any questions she just goes with it. I wanted more from the story.

Defiant was such a good conclusion to the Skyward series. I liked how the relationship between Spensa and Jorgen was handled and how they kept faith in one another. M-bot and Doomslug have to be my favorite characters from the series. I'm looking forward to see where Sanderson will go with Skyward Legacy.

I loved the premise of Sovereign but not the execution. The story started out slow and doesn't seem to have much of a plot. It started getting interesting at the end. I will say however that I'm not the targeted age group so someone younger would probably enjoy it more then I did.

I should not have put off reading Ocean's Echo for as long as I did. The story was very political with a civil war at it's center. There is romance but it's more in the back ground. You can really tell that the main characters really care for each other. I will definitely read more from Everina Maxwell in the future.
