Too wordy and heavy for my liking. 

Boring plot, two-dimensional characters and the story wasn't gripping me. 

Unfortunately I became less invested in this as the story progressed. 

Nah. Not my kind of poetry. Give me contemporary, Amanda Lovelace, Nikita hill and rupi kaur any day 

Unfortunately, I didn’t care much for this book due to the constant repetition of the mundane life of Daunis and her infatuation of Jamie. It’s a shame because I headed into that book to learn more about the struggles of dual origins and life

Not to speak ill of the dead or anything but Poe to me is what cheap-ass chocolate tastes like on the tongue. Garbage. 

He sure loved his commas, didn’t he?! Ffs 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s incredibly off-putting and - for me - the drawn-out sentences are complete nonsense. 

I know it was an “era” thing to use a shit-load of commas and overbearing long sentences and unfathomable English language but my autistic brain can’t deal with that stupid jargon. I’m done byee.

Now gimme me some Lindt.
