Wonderfully done and absolutely beautiful!

3.75. Good story. Decent ending. A little draggy in parts IMO but well worth the read.

Too over my head. At least for right now. Not really a knock against the book, more against my exhausted mom brain.

Absolutely loved this. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Wonderfully written and amazing details about octopuses and other sea creatures.

Loved this book. I read it in 2.5 days which is a feat for me. So happy I heard about it!

I thought this was a well written and organized book. Some areas were a little dry, but that's to be expected as I am NOT a political scholar, just your average mediocre white lady. Some sections were heart-wrenching and teary, others completely rage-inducing. The only thing that really bothered me about the book was the constant theme of religion. I absolutely "get" that religion is a huge part of a lot of people's lives but the way it was presented in the book felt forced? Contrived? Something. I don't remember Hillary speaking so much during the campaign about religion so it caught me out of left field. That said, it's entirely possible I was too focused on the dumpster fire of Cheeto to take too much note of Hillary and religion (beyond the usual political, God Bless America stuff).
