This was such a cute book! I can definitely see why people have been calling it cozy fantasy! This is a slice of life, found Family, heart warming tale!
I think this was a very graceful way of getting out Jill and Derick's experiences and struggles. I was expecting a messy and accusatory story but I was not disappointed with the soft way this book laid out their struggles and how they experienced growing up and marrying into the Duggars.
Thankfully I couldn't personally relate to Jill's struggles growing up in such a strict Christian household but she did a wonderful job sharing that experience in a way where you could see how it was completely normal to them and her anxiety while discovering a different way to live while trying to toe the line of being respectful to her family.

This book is something special. It was slow going for me at the beginning since I just finished another fantasy book with big history and world building but I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
I am so excited to get the next one and continue on!
