I am 200% here for all middle grade spooky reads. Full review to come!
What a fantastic debut, exploring the complexity of Darius as he figures out who he is. Adib explores the the multi-faceted ways teenagers transition to adults, slowly separating from their families while holding on to the parts they most identify with. I loved that much of the story was set in Iran and how much that plays into Darius’ future self in America.
The audio of Darius the Great is Not Okay is fab and will leave you feeling not okay with the emotions portrayed.

I found this to be boring. It’s like a bunch of random DC characters were tossed together and while it did give Selina a minor backstory, it was predictable. The weakest of the Icons series.
It was exactly what it says and I enjoyed being inside the character’s heads!
There’s something about this series that compels me to read it and yet...I. What. !?
So this concept is great but what the heck is this even other than a lot of eyerolls? Meh.
You know, I’m 200% here for Kara’s thrillers, especially when she slays that ending.
What I love about Kara's books is that they're realistic thrillers - they are situations you might turn on the news and see. As I began reading The Cheerleaders, I already had this creeping, sinking feeling of dread, which never ended until the story did. And then the ending just kills you so yeah.
Two murders, two accidents, and one death by suicide....or was it? This is one of those books where you really have to pay attention. There's so much going on at once, with flashbacks and storylines spanning 5 years. I frequently found myself rewinding and analyzing what I heard - not that I ever figure thrillers out but I try to give myself a fighting chance! There are three separate events unfolding to the present day, and each has it's own mini-mystery ready for you to discover. While this might sound confusing, it's not. Kara makes it all happen very seamlessly.
I'm really feeling these books that match the feeling of listening to a true crime podcast!

But but what will I do without more Digby? Full review to come
I am the queen of stand alone and companion novels and here I am, sad that I have to say goodbye to cast of a characters I’ve gotten to know over The Infinity Files.
Infinity, Omega, and now Alpha have all focused on different characters, though the same core characters have been through every book. Alpha focuses on G and Sera, who have been held captive and experimented in. Now free, they’re on the run from their past while figuring out their future.
This inter-dimensional story charmed the heck out of me, just as Infinity and Omega did. Jus managed to take characters who we have done unspeakable things and give them redemption while holding their accountable.
Of course, this wouldn’t be an Entangled novel without a smoking hot romance. Each of the couples is destined to be together, as shown over and over again through the different universes. G and Sera are no different, though they have the extra dynamic of both being plucked from their worlds and needing to start over.
I rarely miss characters once a book is over but I will miss each of the characters in this one. Except Cora, because she really has some karma coming to her!
