Very broad and not as much variety as you would expect in certain areas, but for a drawing manga book it’s okay. Some may be upset with the lack of detailed “how-to-draw” tutorials. And I won’t lie I was a little salty they brushed over the hair section. But this book gives you the basics and tells you to practice that. This isn’t an anatomy book, but more so some general standards for manga styles.

Charming. Has some heart that sets it apart from being run of the mill. I really loved the familial relationships and friendships here.

Love the post-apocalyptic world suffering from climate change(?) + the environmental message. Because of the fun worldbuilding, it kept the animal and environmental facts engaging. And the artwork was just lovely. I wanted to see more of this world.

“Peace is not detachment […] when you accept a hard thing, you don’t have to be okay with it. You’re allowed to feel sad.”
So good! The tension and emotions keep getting layered like whipped cream. I’m interested in seeing where things go from here. Right now, Amy’s hand sis being forced to join the same people that tried to kill her! I'm also still trying to wrap my head around Wanderer.

I know everyone was ganging up on Kou this volume, but I LOVED IT. It’s what he deserves, and I say that with no malice. Every girl isn’t going to wait around for you to come to terms with your feelings. Narumi and he are two peas in a pod because neither will get out the doggone way.
Murao is a breath of fresh air. She told Kou to his face to basically get out the way. He had his chance. Stop treating Futaba’s heart like a yo-yo.
Makita and her dude are kind of just there, but they aren’t annoying, so it’s fine.
And Toma is almost too good. Why do y’all build the 2nd lead up so well just to stall the inevitable?
Tell the truth, shame the devil:

This series has me SO TIRED of raggedy Kou. He just won’t let go or stop treating Futaba’s heart like a ragdoll even when she put her foot down. You just hate to see a sore loser. But of course, I didn’t want that to happen.
But everything comes full circle in a moment that’s seriously cute, so I can’t complain too much.

Really love this series all the way through. Toma finally put some BASS in his voice and put his foot down.
I enjoy how this story explores Kou’s grief.
