Super over the top. You just gotta know that, but still entertaining. Komi acquires a new terribly-disturbing friend. Also, Tadano's past is revealed haha. On a different note, I definitely connect with Komi with not liking to talk at the salon. I just want to sit in the chair and go.

I'm in the middle with this story so far, but I think I'll read vol 3. Despite Komi's weird-behind friends, there's something endearing here.

I don't care. Yamai is dusty and busted. Bye chick

2.5^

I really enjoyed the storyline and Axel's character. Surprisingly, I didn't care about Piston at all, and I usually love the plucky, underdog. Anyway, the artwork is excellent and has a personality of its own. The black shadows with the sunset-palette work well together. There are some themes of inequality and social class and being a puppet to the system that don't get resolved but add a good layer to the story. I liked the ending a lot, but I wouldn't mind a sequel.

Things are moving really, really fast. I like the landlord so far. He's big on honesty and communication. Thumbs up for that. The artwork is adorable like especially when Zen freaks out about his heart issues (falling in love).

+ cute volume about the struggle of following your dreams vs life responsibilities
+ we meet Ken
- Ken is introduced in the worst way possible by backing Shamina into a corner and tryna smooch her. like no, bro.
+ Zen tries to work up the nerve to confess, and it's really cute
+ Zen's dream is revealed
+/- Shamina gets a crush on the landlord

Well, I think some kids will get a real kick out of this. The main characters are bland and one-note (Elyce is the mediator, Bridget is snobby and loves fashion, and Megan is feisty and opinionated), but I think kids will enjoy the Saturday-morning-action show feel.

The girls adjusted to the new super-powered tiaras way too quickly. Also, they totally missed out on a magical girl transformation sequence.
