this wasn’t bad. Imamura gets a do-over of high school, starting at freshman year. I don’t know if I’d read another volume or not. I’m very in the middle though I like how strong-willed/determined the captain is.

This book is simply adorable, the art style, the mellow palette, and the characters. Every panel could be its own wallpaper/poster. You really could read this with some tea and a comfortable chair. I also enjoyed the relationship between Rinn and their grandma, and the worldbuilding of how the younger generation fully-incorporates sign language. Overall, very magical.

Dumb and ridiculous but cute. Louie’s really immature, but I didn’t hate her. The sasquatch business concludes very early on, so the rest of the story follows Louie’s growing pains and contemplation of life after high school. College or taking over the family business? Working for money or for passion? Overall, a light-hearted, quirky read.

This book wasn’t for me. The characters, the dialogue, and the overall everythingness just didn’t work for me. While I don’t know Amma’s race, due to the southern backdrop, she gave those magical negro teas. Perhaps, this book/series wasn’t cliché for its time, but the flat mean girls, Lena’s specialness, and the fact hoes legit mad if someone likes reading lowered my enjoyment.
The artwork is fine though very sketchy. It can appear unfinished and very flat emotionally, at times.

Light-hearted, funny, and cute. Slightly cheesy. Insta-lovey. A little curious to why Zeppy fell for Jerzie so hard. I know why I like her but why does he like her beyond how fine she is and her big voice? I’m not against their love, but I wanted more interaction between them. There’s a minor age gap (Jerzie’s 16 - 17 and Zeppelin’s 19; his friends seem to be 21 and up). While the ending feels very heavy-handed and unrealistic, it’s fitting.
