By no means bad! But there isn't a sharp focus on Sonic and Tails' friendship, and this compiles stories from we've already seen from the main IDW line, such as, how the metal virus was created, the chao race, how Sonic met Belle, etc. I was expecting new stories or lesser-seen ones.

The effects of Ceti living with a momma strung out on drugs are disturbing and emotional but, like real life, there are gaps of lighter moments. Soccer is one of the only things that makes Ceti feel free. Narrative voice was very good, but some choices of the story were questionable. Pretty depressing overall.

Beautiful. A mostly great end to a fun, vibrant, and imaginative series. Loved the Beanu people. Major nitpick:
so tired. Yet another main female character has to sacrifice herself. Why couldn’t Oona stay alive??? I guess she got reincarnated in the end. -_-

When being a girlboss goes wrong. I just couldn’t care about Rielle or Eliana. This should be a nuanced thing because often times male characters who exhibit the same traits and selfishness aren’t scrutinized as hard, but I just felt nothing for these ladies. I couldn’t force a connection that wasn’t there.

Navi was way too kindhearted for this story. I wish she had more bite when Eliana was mistreating her. Audric was boring. Simon was better because he had some mystery to him. The romance was a bit microwaved, but surely it will develop more throughout the trilogy.

The alternate timelines, I suppose, were both frustrating and interesting. It took me a bit to get used to, but I think it added a unique touch. The hellish take on angels was also a unique spin.
I guess they are like mini lucifers, fallen angels

Also, take a shot of the beverage of your choice whenever you see the word “pale.” You’ll see it 100x at least.

I don't intend to be overly harsh, but I don't think this book was for me.

I really enjoy these comics. They are charming and relaxing. The simple art style adds to that charm as well. Only a few jokes fell flat or I just didn’t get them.

Thoroughly engaging and vulnerable at times. I love reading about the BTS of the Ali movie, how Will and Jazzy Jeff met, Gigi, and Will’s childhood.

The messy part of me is sad that there was no mention of August :>

Charlotte's narrative voice was great. I think the book summed up events well, but you're missing a lot if you haven't read book 1. The artwork was fine but at other times straight up ugly and ashy. Still, not a bad read
