The message in this book is absolute perfection. It really helps kids to understand that sometimes things happen and they aren’t pleasant but it isn’t the end of the world. They use the imagery of a bird pooping on you for this - but it’s very adaptable to situations. It was a great conversation starter with my class!

It’s a classic for a reason. Kids absolutely love the shenanigans of the cat in the hat!

This book was all over the place and I really can’t decide how I feel about it. 

This is an absolute favorite among the kids in class!

This is a simple book to read and it’s done in a way that holds kids attention. It wasn’t quite what I thought it would be - I was hoping it would be a toothbrushing motivator and it definitely wasn’t but it was still cute and the kids loved it. 

While my students initially seemed uninterested in this book as I was reading it, I could tell for the remainder of the day that the message in this book stuck with them. I could see the wheels turning and see that they were applying the lessons in this book to their current situation. It was amazing to see how this book helped to change their perspective on the word “no”.

I got this series for my classroom. The message is solid but it didn’t hold the kids attention like I thought it would.
