Honestly reviewing this book is difficult for me. So instead of a normal review, how about some alternative titles?
- Bitchy Housewives
- The Idiots Guide to Drinking With Frenemies
- The Ultimate Guidebook of What NOT TO DO When Suspected of Murder (with examples!)
- How To Blame Everything On Your Mother
- The Skeet Shooting Wives
Honestly the hunting wives was just not it for me. I didn’t like the story. It started very slow and once it picked up I either said “wow what a dumbass” or “what in the actual *~#%” every other page. This is a subpar thriller in my opinion. Not a fan.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I had no idea what to expect going in but if I had expectations, I feel like this exceeded them!
The premise is what got me initially. Someone on the run is a trope that I really enjoy. There’s so much that can happen and it tends to make for an interesting story. In this case, not only was the story interesting, but it was addicting! This is definitely a book I struggled to put down! There are so many twists and turns! The epilogue really wrapped up the book perfectly and I couldn’t help but giggle a bit with the way it was written. I love it.

Did I stay up most of the night to finish this? Yes I did. Did I realize I was doing that until I was finished? No, no I did not.
This was an interesting mystery! I enjoyed the fact that it was a mystery but certainly wasn’t “cozy”. I also wouldn’t consider this a thriller - just a true mystery and I enjoyed it!
Considering I did not read the synopsis first, this is not what I was expecting at all but I still enjoyed it!

If I was basing this on the last 1/4 only this would be 5 stars. It’s instead 3 because the story didn’t grab my attention until it was almost over. This would have been better as a short story instead of a full length novel. If you can hold out until the end it’s great - but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Love in Flames - the final installment to the Daring Series. Received and ARC of this one from the author in exchange for an honest review.
First - the story was pretty good. There’s a ton of steam in it and when I’m looking for a romance read that’s what I want - the steamier the better. This one checks that box many times. It starts out slow but speeds up within the first five chapters.
Second - this is honestly my harshest critique on it - once stuff started happening it felt like everything happened. The drama surrounding the fire was great - but then there was added drama that felt unnecessary and forced to me.
Third - the main plot line was quite interesting! The plot line involving the fire was actually secondary to the main plot, which in the other books in this series (quarantine and tragedy) the title basically told the story. For this one, the main female character is sent to find the main male character and then all hell breaks loose (quite literally if you believe hell involves fire). The two ending up running together and eventually the truth of their initial encounter comes out - which is why it seems to me this is the main plot line. Everything comes back to that, which is a good thing especially for this story.
Overall four star read. I’d absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a quick steamy read.

I loved this story. As an avid watcher of Supernatural (read - I have all 15 seasons practically memorized) I knew exactly where this would fit into the story. Honestly I love this story and it would have made a great episode! It’s two cases instead of just one. Sam and Dean are sent to New York to help out a friend of a friend with a ghost problem. While there, they decide to look into a series of Poe style murders in the area. Discovering that there is a ghost living with Ash’s friend and the Poe murders are supernatural inspired, they take on both cases. We all know it goes well because it’s supernatural - even when it doesn’t it’s fine in the end!

I’m not sure what I was expecting with this book, but I just didn’t get it. It’s interesting and honestly the ending is beyond predictable and that annoyed me. I was hoping it would go a different direction with the ending but alas, the typical predictable ending it was which took my enjoyment of this book down a notch.
Besides the predictability, this book needs a TON of trigger warnings - child abuse, infidelity, child death, miscarriage, abortion, spousal abuse, post-partum depression, mental illness, divorce - I’m sure I’m missing some. This book is basically a giant trigger warning with a predictable ending.
