I’m shocked by how much I loved this. It’s a great blend of mystery and romance in a dark setting - and the spice doesn’t feel excessive or out of place in the story which is always nice.

Once I started this, I had so much trouble putting it down and the audio performance was stellar and really added depth to the story - I believe that made it even more intriguing and definitely added to the intensity of the mystery.

Short, sweet and sad. This story is something that I wouldn’t normally pick up - but it was a bonus read this month and if it’s free I’m in. At 39 pages, there isn’t a ton of time for a built out story, and this felt like an excerpt from a bigger story in a way. I could absolutely see this being expanded upon, but it also wrapped up nice enough that knowing it’s a short story doesn’t really leave me longing.
