Short, sweet and sad. This story is something that I wouldn’t normally pick up - but it was a bonus read this month and if it’s free I’m in. At 39 pages, there isn’t a ton of time for a built out story, and this felt like an excerpt from a bigger story in a way. I could absolutely see this being expanded upon, but it also wrapped up nice enough that knowing it’s a short story doesn’t really leave me longing.
