This book was a complete “meh” for me. While they were definitely “horror” stories, they were not exactly what I was expecting or hoping for. These were classic stories, which I have naturally heard before and therefore this wasn’t the fun creepy read I was hoping for.

I love these books. Twisted tales is such an interesting concept and really does take the classic stories and twist them into a different scenario. This one though just didn’t hit the mark for me. It’s okay. There’s no big twist, nothing to really suck in the reader and make it hard to put down. It’s also much longer than others which didn’t help the lack luster storyline.

Over all this book is definitely just okay.

I enjoyed this book. Solid 3 star read for me. The storyline was interesting but the “twists” were incredibly predictable. I also didn’t care for the ending. There was a decent amount of foreshadowing so I knew it was coming but it didn’t make it any more likable.

Nice Collection of Poems

I’ll be honest, poetry is not my thing. This is a short book of poetry that’s speaks to life and how we all function. There was even a poem that brought up the madness that we are calling 2020 and everything that has happened this year.

I’ve always had trouble following poetry so I don’t know if it’s me or if some of the poems are indeed hard to follow. Either way, the majority of these poems are relatable and enjoyable to read.

I received a copy of this ebook from a Goodreads giveaway and I must say it was a good one! It’s a time travelers love story with a twist. I’ve been reading more fantasy lately and I’m very glad that this book was part of it! It was easy to grow attached to the characters and feel their pain right along with them. I enjoyed the way the story played out even if it was predictable in the end. Well thought out and enjoyable read with likable characters and a great storyline.
