Although I love Bill Maher's HBO show, I just couldn't get into this book. It probably didn't help that I read it two years after it was published, so all the dates were pretty dated.

This book took me WEEKS to read because I HATED the typset; it was just too difficult to read. It was an eye-opening book, but I was disappointed with the movie.

This guy is friggin' crazy! He has 11 different personalities in the "castle" within his head ... if he weren't such an educated scholar, I would think he was a complete lunatic. I probably should mention that I read mostly memoirs and nonfiction.

I have bought three copies of this book because everyone I've loaned it to never returned it. Now, I don't loan books I would like to keep.

I'm a huge Sedaris fan from NPR and his magazine pieces. I get so excited whenever he's featured in GQ or Esquire!

Thanks, Dani, for letting me keep this book! I'm fascinated with autism -- my sister is a life skills teacher and I don't understand a lot of her students -- and this book was written from the mindset of an autistic boy.

I love discussing this book with other readers. I've found it's 50-50 love it vs. hate it! I really liked this book; I found the simple writing carried me through the end-of-the-world tale of a boy and his father. The simple details made me want for more ... and there are so many ways to interpret the ending. I'm interested to see how the movie version will turn out though; I just can't see this book translating to film.

I'm not a Republican or Democrat (I'm actually Non Partisan, but that's another story), but this book was recommended by a friend. The creators of weeklyradioaddress.com wrote this satirical unauthorized biography of George W. Bush. My thoughts on this book are that I have my opinions and I respect those of others. Basically, I do not want to be convinced or persuaded to the authors' point of view, whether I agree or not. I just found it funny in some parts and rather annoying in others.

Because I work in the "lifestyle" department, I often receive free books from authors looking for publicity. This was one of those books. The only thing I wrote in my book diary was "it was OK -- I was happy in the end because it was over."

This book is a daily reminder of how crappy you are. And it's hilarious. It reminded me of "You Are Worthless," so I reread that to continue my "winter blues" kick.

This book is a great gift; I think you can find it at Hallmark, too. I can't remember if I bought it for someone or if someone gave it to me, but I was feeling down when I came across it on the bookshelf. The inspirational quotes really cheered me up. I would highly recommend this book as a gift for anyone who does something nice for you. It's very uplifting.
