Thank you to LibroFM for the gifted audiobook through their Educator ALC program!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I didn't realize until the author's note that this was a revised and rereleased story.  It shows how with a little updating, stories like Rain is Not My Indian Name are timeless.

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the gifted copy of The Three Lives of Alix St. Pierre!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I was already a fan of Natasha Lester and The Three Lives of Alix St. Pierre did not disappoint!  Between the espionage, romance, and grief, it was hard to put this book down.  I like how the dual timelines both were used to reveal things in the other timeline so that it wasn't always the past affecting the future. This became incredibly important at the end!

Lester's author's note at the end of the novel is fascinating! I love how many of the characters in the book were real people. Plus, there is a special note at the very end to all of the readers who make it that far!

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ebook of Never Rescue a Rogue!  All opinions in this review are my own.

When Giles' father unexpectedly dies, it is imperative that Giles can uncover his true parentage before other family members take his inheritance away from him.  Luckily, Giles has Diana Merriwell, his best friend's sister-in-law, to help him!  While Giles knows Hugh made Diana off limits, he can't help but enjoy their witty banter and barbs.

Never Rescue a Rogue is the second book in The Merriwell Sisters series.  While this series is about the sisters, I like that Never Rescue a Rogue is told mainly from Giles' point of view.  The mystery of his past combined with his trying to fend off his feelings for Diana made for an entertaining read.

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ebook of The Villa!  All opinions in this review are my own.

Rachel Hawkins has done it once again.  Her books never disappoint me and I look forward to reading the newest one each year.  Just like Reckless Girls, I tore through The Villa.  I finished it in under 24 hours because I couldn't put it down!

Things I Loved About The Villa:
🍋 set in a gorgeous Italian Villa
🍋 dual timelines
🍋 you know the horrible event is coming but you don't know the details surrounding it
🍋 main character writes cozy mysteries
🍋 a truly wild ending
🍋 eye-catching cover

The Villa is out January 3rd and I can't wait to own a physical copy!

Thank you to Putnam and NetGalley for the ebook of Just Haven't Met You Yet!  All opinions in this review are my own.

Laura's parents had an epic summer romance on the island of Jersey.  Sadly, now both of Laura's parents are gone and she wants to find a way to reconnect with them.  After pitching an article about her parents' romance to her boss, Laura flies to Jersey.  Upon arrival, she grabs the wrong suitcase, but realizes the man who owns it must be her soulmate based on its contents.  With the help of a grumpy cabdriver, Laura must write her article and find the love of her life!

Okay, I know I am so late to this one, but I absolutely loved it!  I actually laughed out loud multiple times when reading it and I loved the Jersey setting!  Even though Just Haven't Met You Yet is a longer romance (400+ pages), it didn't read like one and since I read it on my Kindle, I was shocked that it was that long.  I can't wait to read more of Sophie Cousens' books!

Thank you Kensington and BiblioLifestyle for the gifted copy of The Vanishing Type!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I am finally caught up in the Secret, Book, and Scone Society series!  If you have not checked out this cozy mystery series, please do!  While I love reading about how the women solve each mystery that appears in their small town, I love the setting of Miracle Books more.  I would love to spend an afternoon (or many) browsing the shelves for new reads and shelf enhancers.  No trip to Miracle Books is complete without choosing a mug from the ticket agent's window and curling up in the reading circle!

I am already looking forward to Paper Cuts coming out in April!

Thank you to Forever for the gifted copy of Dreaming of a Heart Lake Christmas!  All opinions in this review are my own.

Even though the Christmas season has passed, Dreaming of a Heart Lake Christmas is a great winter read!  While it does end on Christmas, there is so much wintery fun in this romance!

Read if you like:
❄️ best friend's older brother
❄️ grumpy / sunshine
❄️ both POVs so you know how hard he's fallen too
❄️ open door romances
❄️ small town settings
❄️ forced proximity

I can't wait to return to Heart Lake this summer in the sequel, The Little Bookstore on Heart Lake Lane!

Thank you to Tandem Collective and Mariner for the gifted copy of Flight!  All opinions in this review are my own.

This is the first Christmas that Henry, Kate, and Martin are spending together after their mother passed away.  Not only is this holiday going to be difficult, but their mom doesn't have a will and the siblings must determine what to do with her house.

I love how the author introduces the characters in the beeginning of the book with their own chapters.  While it did take me a little time to figure out who was who, these first few chapters were an essential resource to flip back to.  Despite how quickly I flew through this book, I'm shocked with how much is packed into only 230 pages.  The author does an excellent job of capturing the intricaticies and nuances in all of the relationships.  I like how it all came together at the end!

This was a fantastic read right before the holidays!  If you like family dramas, then I highly recommend you pick up Flight!
