An upper west side story

DID NOT FINISH: 31%

Thank you Lime Street Press and NetGalley for the eARC of An Upper West Side Story!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I DNFed this one at 31%. I felt like it was hard to differentiate between the characters when they all had a similar issue, trying to find an apartment or a roommate. I expected this to be more about a group of 20 somethings living in one building similar to Friends. Overall, this one wasn't for me but I can see why people connected with the story.

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the eARC of A Fatal Groove!  All opinions in this review are my own.

A Fatal Groove was on track to be a good mystery. The victim dies in the first 50 pages and I figured the rest of the time would be spent solving his murder. Except for the last 100 pages, the focus is instead on the love triangle Juni finds herself in between Teddy and Beau. The mystery is the focus again towards the end of the book but by that point the reveal feels rushed and not as connected as it should be.

Thank you Experiment 42 and NetGalley for the eARC of You've Been Summoned!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I love that the author took a risk with the format of You've Been Summoned! I couldn't put this one down and while I wasn't able to solve the murder, I liked feeling like I could! While I wish the connection between the past and present was made more apparent earlier in the book, this was overall a really fun read and I look forward to more from this author!

Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for the eARC of Five First Chances! All opinions in this review are my own.

I am always drawn to time loop books but then get tired of reading the same story over and over. Luckily, this doesn't happen in Five First Chances! I really liked that each chance Lou gets, she tries to approach the situation in another way.
I also thought I was going to get stuck reading about Romain in each story but thankfully she ditches him pretty early on. I also liked that Nick goes through the time loop with Lou but wish this had been a little more explored. I don't know if you can call this a romance if Nick dies in the end, but I liked reading about Lou's journey.
Overall, this was an incredibly engrossing book that I couldn't put down!

Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for the eARC of The Resort!  All opinions in this review are my own.

It took me a little while to get into The Resort but once I did, I was hooked!  I like thrillers that are set on remote islands and this one went so off the rails by the end that I couldn't put it down.  My favorite part was
the last chapter!  It was one thing to read the end of the book when things got crazy but an entirely different experience to realize the danger hasn't gone away!  I would read a sequel to find out what happens next and
I will definitely be reading more from this author!

Thank you Chronicle Books and NetGalley for the eARC of Book Nooks!  All opinions in this review are my own.

Finally a book that supports my two most important decor questions - "Are there enough books in this room?" and "Will that unused space fit more books?"  Jokes aside, this was a really fun book to read with gorgeous pictures.  I love that they included famous authors and their top book lists.  I was proud that I have read most of Jasmine Guillory's favorite romance books since she is one of my favorite romance writers.  I also especially loved the sections Little Free Libraries and Classic Libraries Around the World!  This book would be a great gift to any reader or book collector!
