Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the eARC of A Governess's Guide to Passion and Peril!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I am such a fan of Manda Collins' Ladies Most Scandalous series and I was so excited to read Jane's story in A Governess's Guide to Passion and Peril!  Part mystery and part historical romance, Collins is able to create some of the most lovable characters I have ever read!  Although it is hard to decide, I think this mystery was my favorite out of the series!

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the eARC of Four-Alarm Homicide. All opinions in this review are my own.

Unfortunately, I had a hard time staying interested in this one and probably should have just DNFed it.  The mystery didn’t start until 40% in, which is a problem I found in another one of the author's books too.  Because the mystery takes so far into the book to be introduced, the reveal and ending are too rushed.  I think I learned more about home renovation than actually solving a mystery.

Thank you Grand Central Publishing for the ARC of Six Days in Rome. All opinions in this review are my own.

Much like meandering Italian streets, Six Days in Rome meanders through Emilia's memories.  Unfortunately, this writing style just wasn't for me.  I wanted more Rome and less memories about her Dad.  I feel like the synopsis is a bit misleading.

Thank you Grand Central Pub for the gifted copy of F1 Racing Confidential!  All opinions in this review are my own.

If you know me at all, you know how excited I was when I opened the package that contained this book!

In F1 Racing Confidential, Giles Richards breaks down the different roles that make a Formula 1 team successful.  I like that in the Introduction, Richards even acknowledges that to hear from these men and women in their own words is more powerful than anything he could write.  I also like that for many of the interviews, the person explained their path to get to their current job and that some even joined the sport later on.  Obviously, the Toto Wolff interview was my favorite chapter, but Tom Stallard's was a close second!

Richards' book strengthens the notion that Formula 1 is a team sport and highlights all of the hard work that various team members do to make the car successful.

Thank you St. Martin's Griffin for the eARC of Hate to Fake it to You.  All opinions in this review are my own.

Unfortunately, Hate to Fake it to You was a DNF at 33% for me.  I usually love fake dating so I thought the double fake would be great, but it just made it awkward and cringey because everyone was lying to each other.  The main character was barely trying to be her fake persona which made the whole thing way less believable.

Thank you to the author for the eARC of Chasing the Slipstream!  All opinions in this review are my own.

It's hard to beat Kam and Thiago in Falling Off The Cliff but Chasing the Slipstream comes close!  I love Ava and Rowan's dynamic and how their relationship evolves over the course of the novel.  I also love the way Kanitha describes racing. While it is not the focus of the book, the small snippets of the races show off Kanitha's descriptive prowess.

I am already looking forward to Indy and Miles's book and I am hoping that there is at least novella focused on Tate in the future after what is revealed in Chasing the Slipstream!

Thank you Harper Perennial and BiblioLifestyle for the gifted copy of Midnight on Beacon Street!  All opinions in this review are my own.

For a slim novel, the author was able to include a lot of atmospheric description in it to build tension!  Unfortunately, because this novel is so short, this tension built to a finale that was underwhelming.  The big reveal and aftermath seemed too rushed after all the building that had come before it.  I would be curious to read more from this author and see if their future books are better paced.
