Penguin should really rename this book to The Penguin Book of Witch's Trials. While it was interesting, I thought it was going to be more of an exploration of the evolution of witches or be more like The Penguin Book of Mermaids which explored how different cultures/regions viewed Mermaids. The Witch Book is definitely more grounded in the legal proceedings, not as concerned with fiction, and more concentrated geographically on England and New England.

Thank you Tantor Media and Libro FM for the ALC of Spooky Lakes: 25 Strange and Mysterious Lakes that Dot Our Planet! All opinions in this review are my own.
If you are a fan of Spooky Lake Month (or you just found out about like me), you have to check out this book! Filled with creepy stories about the world's "haunted hydrology," I learned so much about a topic that I never even knew was a topic. The best part is that when you are finished with the book, the author has a ton more videos on the subject so you can do a deep dive into even more spooky lakes!
The physical copy of the book has stunning illustrations but the audiobook is narrated by the author. Since this is a difficult choice to make, you may as well just get both versions!
It is an understatement to say I love this book and now my friends have to listen to my spooky lake facts!

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the eARC of Fondue or Die! All opinions in this review are my own.
It is no secret that The Cheese Shop Mysteries are one of my favorite cozy mystery series! I love the characters and how well paced the mysteries are. I like that the author introduces the mystery early on in the book so the rest of it can be about finding clues, interviewing suspects, and solving it!
Fondue or Die is another excellent edition in the series! I think my favorite part about this one was the setting. Fondue or Die takes place during a festival called Dairy Days and the food offered there sounds incredible! Not only does Willa create themed grazing boxes that sound amazing, but at one point, it is also mentioned that there is a stand selling macaroni and cheese in a garlic naan. I would definitely enjoy my time there!
