Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the DRC of Yin Yang Love Song. All opinions in this review are my own.
Once again, Lauren Kung Jessen creates a cast of characters that you will fall in love with! Jessen's strength is writing complex characters and their development over the course of the story. Yin Yang Love Song is no exception with Chryssy and Vin!
Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the DRC of Climbing in Heels. All opinions in this review are my own.
I thought I was going to love Climbing in Heels so I'm disappointed I didn't. It felt too long and the stories of the three women didn't feel connected enough. It didn't need to start when the women were young and because it spanned so much time, I feel like the characters lacked depth. I also felt like I was reading three different stories. Although they are set in the same time and place, the three women only interacted on occasion so I felt like I was trying to read three different books at once. Overall, Climbing in Heels tried to cover too much and it lost depth because of it.
Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for the DRC of The French Honeymoon. All opinions in this review are my own.
The French Honeymoon seemed promising but ended up being underwhelming. After the initial character introductions, the beginning felt slow. About halfway through, there is a twist so the story does pick up, but it doesn't make up for the beginning half.
Thank you G. P. Putnam's Sons and NetGalley for the DRC of All the Signs. All opinions in this review are my own.

I had a hard time getting into this one. I didn't love the main character and it took her so long to get to Venice. Even when she was there, the fact that Imani was just handing out money felt too unrealistic, especially since the main character is there because she is skeptical. How does she instantly take Imani up on her offer to go on this all-expenses paid trip in the first place?

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the DRC of The Sirens! All opinions in this review are my own.
I loved Weyward and Emilia Hart shows her strength once again in The Sirens! I love how Hart weaves timelines together to create the mystery and the mystical call of the ocean! My only complaint is that Mary and Eliza's chapters felt repetitive at times which slowed down Jess's and Lucy's stories. Overall, The Sirens is an excellent summer read about the strength of women and the pull of the ocean!

Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for the DRC of A Town With Half The Lights On! All opinions in this review are my own.
I really enjoyed this one and I think it had a lot to do with the format. I don't know if I would have cared about Midnight, Kansas as much as if it had been written like a normal novel. I loved the miscellaneous reports and clippings that allowed the characters to really show their personalities. A Town with Half the Lights On was just the right amount of mysterious, cozy, and sweet!

I loved the premise of this one, but unfortunately, I had issues with the pacing. Elinor Coombes is trapped in a loveless marriage and pretends that she died on the sinking of the Titanic in order to start a new life in New York. After reading a decent amount of the book and listening to Elinor complain about how terrible her life is, I got impatient about her actually getting on the Titanic. After reading some reviews, it seems like it doesn't happen until about midway through and although the book picks up, I'm not willing to wait around until then. I wish the parts about her marriage had been interspersed throughout the book instead of the beginning.
I have another book, The Bonesetter Woman, but the same author so I am willing to give her another chance!

Thank you Harper Perennial and NetGalley for the DRC of Dying to Meet You! All opinions in this review are my own.
This is the thriller I have been waiting for! I have been trying to find a thriller that is twisty and shocking, and thankfully Dying to Meet You met those requirements! I even thought I was going to be able to guess the ending but I was way off! I can't wait to read more thrillers by Sarina Bowen!
Thank you Avid Reader Press and NetGalley for the DRC of We Would Never. All opinions in this review are my own.
This book sounded intriguing but took too long to get started. I found that if I'm skimming this early on, I should just stop. I was expecting it to be more of a thriller but it's more of a family drama.
Thank you Minotaur and NetGalley for the DRC of She Doesn't Have a Clue. All opinions in this review are my own.
I had such a hard time getting into this one. I think it was partly due to the constant switching between Kate's point of view and her main character's story. I wish it hadn't leaned so heavily into Kate's mystery writing and instead focused on the mystery she was trying to solve.
