Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the DRC of Things Left Unsaid. All opinions in this review are my own.
Shirin and Kian were friends in high school until a horrible incident severed their friendship. Now they are reunited as adults in London while they try to navigate their relationship and being true to themselves.
I loved the character exploration in Things Left Unsaid. The growth and healing that Shirin and Kian experience by addressing past trauma in order to create truly happy lives is both heartbreaking and inspiring. I definitely want to explore more of this author's work!
Thank you William Morrow and NetGalley for the DRC of Didn't You Used to Be Queenie B? All opinions in this review are my own.
After three books, it is safe to say that Terri-Lynne DeFino is one of my favorite authors! Her strength is creating realistic characters who you can't help but root for and Didn't You Used To Be Queenie B? is no exception. The emotional journey that Regina and Gale take is a rollercoaster but it is worth it! I like that the novel doesn't follow a pattern for switching between timelines. It only does it when it is needed which makes the flashbacks more impactful. I also really like the cooking terms at the beginning of each chapter. Once again, this is another hit for DeFino!
Thank you Minotaur and NetGalley for the DRC of Written in Stone. All opinions in this review are my own.
Although it is the 10th book in the series, Written in Stone is the third book in the Scottish Bookshop Myseries that I have read. I always enjoy these books because of the setting and characters. However, I didn't love this mystery. I like that it is based on Scottish history, but I felt like it read like one of Delaney's first mysteries instead of the tenth one she is able to help solve.
Thank you Wednesday Books and NetGalley for the DRC of The Rival. All opinions in this review are my own.
I usually love Emma Lord but I had such a hard time getting into this one. Although the main characters are supposed to be Freshmen in college, they read so much younger, especially the FMC. Even the side characters seem more like caricatures than actual people. I'm hoping this is just an isolated incident because I usually love her books.
Thank you Avon and NetGalley for the DRC of The Starlight Heir. All opinions in this review are my own.
This book had so much potential. I loved the world-building and the plot! Unfortunately, the FMC reads too immature and the modern dialogue clashes with the rest of the fantasy world. I recommend to romance readers who want to try reading a fantasy book without committing to 500+ pages.

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the DRC of The Broposal. All opinions in this review are my own.
Despite dealing with mature topics, I felt like everyone in this book read as very immature. I love Han and Kenny, but anytime Jackie popped up again, I wanted to immediately shut the book. I know she was supposed to be the "villain" in this book but she really ruined it for me.
