Thank you to the publisher for a free Netgalley.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. But the pace was a tad off. Cam's character and perspective was my favorite. I liked Niall, but felt his chapters could have been shorter. I am happy we did not get a fourth perspective. The third was needed-- nice and short, but I thought it was easy to figure out who it was. And I am happy we did not get a fourth as it would have not fit right.

The overall plot was solid, but felt the time jumps were a tad too long. I genuinely cannot say why without spoiling a major plot point.

I do recommend, but do not think this will be for everyone.

I have read every book in this series, and while I have enjoyed them all this one it tied for my top one with book 1.

The plot for this one was fun and the use of Mrs. Haggerty in this story is phenomenal. She is quite the character and adds a lot to the characters we already know and love.

Why 4.25 and not 5? Some of the antics are a tad repetitive. But I understand there are only so many antics two characters can get themselves in to!

I really enjoyed this one. I was worried because I have read a lot of WW2 novels. Almost to the point where I try to seek out HF from other time periods.

But this book gave me a different story for the same period. It focused more on downtown London and the affect the air raids had on a city. I loved our main character and her story-- along with the relationships she built.

This is my second book by Sittenfield; both being short story collections.

This one did not quite hit for me the way You Think It, I'll Say It did, but this was still so well written.

This one was good, and I really enjoyed the plot!

Really enjoyed this book.

But the back and forth between Rune & Gideon got a tad repetitive. It felt almost childish at some point.

Loved the ending. But if 25-30 pages of bickering was cut it could have been added to the ending. The plot of it was great. It just happened so fast.

A great duology.

Enjoyed 85% of this one.

So here is what I did not like:
- Definitely could've been chopped, but not as much as Iron Flame.
- Give me ALL the characters on the list in the front
- I understand WHY we needed the different perspectives at the end, but it really threw off the flow of the story considering for the first 475 pgs. that did not happen
- We know there are two more books, so we know there will be a cliff hanger. But this one felt almost too ambiguous.

But this, in my opinion, was definitely better than Iron Flame. Still nothing will beat book 1.
