MaoMao is a protagonist, that just makes you want to root for her. She is smart, witty, and incredibly kind hearted. I'm honestly looking forward to her adventures within the inner court.

Maomao continues to grow into a character I adore. Add a nice strong back bone, sass, and ingenuity to my earlier thoughts about her.
She is a terrifying force to be reckoned with and it catching the eye of others in the court with her knowledge and prowess.

Font choice for speech bubbles 1/5
Ability to give reader second hand embarrassment 5/5

I will say this is an oddity in every way. Like the idea of presenting a cookbook being presented in this oddly satirical memoir-isc style is hard to really jump into. Especially since this book doesn't feign from trying to make you die from second hand embarrassment early on.

The sheer level of discomfort I felt at times was a bit much, but you can tell that food is something that Long is truly passionate for and it shows on nearly every page.
I actually learned quite a bit while reading this, but I honestly can't imagine recommending this book to someone, let alone purchasing it for someone.

This manga was very mediocre, what you see is what you get. Then to add on to it, the sheer amount of exposition is overwhelming and dreadfully dull.
Dreadfully dull, is what this entire manga is. At no point did I feel like I wasn't slogging through the 200 pages of this manga.

"May this flickering soul ignite into a raging Inferno!"

Bootsleg, is an incredibly interesting story of young adults growing stronger as they pursue revenge on the demons that have stolen their loved ones from them. While also finding a family along the way.
Bootsleg itself, is an Artisan's Syndicate dedicated to stomping out the Red Hand. "...{their] shoes will serve you on your journey... Those who leave will not be missed. Those who stay will be fitted with leather and a soul"

The action scenes depicted in the manga, make me crave to see this series animated because I'm sure that it could be gorgeous and I am honestly excited to get to watch the characters that we meet within the pages of this book continue to grow.

I will definitely be continuing this series.

"We'll write their epitaph with the words at our feet. Our Requiem."

This felt really meh overall, this is a concept has been done many times before.

Kuga's dedication to his family is incredibly wholesome though.
While Goshiki's clothing style is something out of my dreams.

If you are after an Alien, accidental "marriage", forced proximity Romance you will find it here.

This was so incredibly wholesome and adorable and I love it so thoroughly.

I want to share it with all my friends, because it brought me a level of joy I haven't had in a while.

TW: Ableism, Homophobia, Eugenics,

I was super interested in this book from just the description, and honestly it didn't disappoint story wise. While it does address some very sensitive topics, I struggle to to think of a time where they weren't treated with grace. Valero does a fantastic job of both depicting the time period and these issues.

Velero's Art is gorgeous more then once I was left in awe.
This is by far the first comic I can think of where it felt like every panel came from a female gaze and it was honestly refreshing. To have scenes that I know would have full frontal nudity in something else, not too. It was amazing.

The one thing I disliked about this book, was the incestual romantic relationship between Lenoir and his cousin.
