Van Helsing vs. Dracula's Daughter
by Raven Gregory
My gay self was lured into this book by the prospect of Steampunk(ish) vampire hunter, and I leaped after reading in the publisher notes was the potential of a Video Game (though the timing given has passed) as well as a TV show. The latter I failed to find any information on even after spending a fair bit of time digging.
For me, when I see multi-media storytelling, I get excited, even though I know to expect disappointment.
I found this comic interesting in concept; this is most definitely something that needs to be followed for the long run to enjoy the world and characters truly. However, the way these characters are treated throughout this made me wonder if the side cast is consistently this expendable.
This made me want to know more about this series, and I found minimal direction as to where I should start with this series. There is no real numbering scheme outside of an arch (like Van Helsing vs. Dracula's Daughter). Meaning that I couldn't find a clear answer to where I should start if I were to take up this series.
If you are not actively reading this series, I can't recommend jumping in, and this is definitely not the place to start.
If you have been reading this series, this is definitely the setup for a really interesting conflict.
