I might return to review this later, after more reflection. Initially I thought this would be a 3.5 star rating but the end made me feel like that might not be enough, so 4 it is.

4.5 stars (c'mon Goodreads, why don't we have this capability yet). Great, quick read with multiple twists I didn't see coming, despite my best efforts at predicting the outcome. Glad I finally got a chance to read it.

It took me awhile to get into it, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I truly enjoyed this re-imagining of Snow White and how progressive the author was able to be while remaining within the fairy tale structure.

There was no way to know how much I really needed a book like this at this time in my life. Despite a small amount of predictability, I absolutely loved it.
