So. So. Good. Stupidly excited about reading the rest of the series as it is released!

This book is a great example as to why I'll never look down on YA, and I'll never stop reading the genre.

Damn, Foley can really write a murder mystery. I liked The Hunting Party, but I loved this one.

I had it figured out, or so I thought. But here comes Foley with that

I tried. I really did. I wanted to like it so much.

I loved this book so so much.

4.5 stars. Highly recommend.

I am... conflicted.

I will continue with the series, but I think I need a dictionary. This book was under 200 pages and I still felt it was 50 pages too long or not long enough. Perhaps the additional novels will help me feel more... something.

I've never been so interested in discovering a mystery while so uninterested in half of what I read. I feel like someone who started watching Lost in the middle and is intrigued enough to continue but who also is trying to comprehend what the hell it is they just watched.

I honestly struggled a bit through most of the middle, in the end, it felt like it was a long road through the first 300 pages to finally get to the good stuff in the last 40.
As I did with the first novel, I expected more but somehow I knew I'd just end up with more questions than answers. Yet, I will continue the series and will probably be in the same predicament as I await the 4th installment.
