This book was so sweet!! 🥺 Honestly my favorite Trans coming of age story I’ve read so far! I love that overall this book was about trans & queer joy and I’m truly so happy that teens have this book to read and feel seen in! While there was definitely angst and transphobia and homophobia, it wasn’t the main focus of the book which was really nice. Spencer & Justice were such a great couple and everything between them felt so natural at every single stage! I even loved the bittersweet ending because it felt real. Honestly, I just really enjoyed this and definitely recommend! 🥰

This was very meh for me 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t like the bet/dare trope so I went into this one very wary anyway buy I also was annoyed with Spencer for about 80% of the book and I just really struggled through the first half especially! I did really love the last few chapters and ended up really loving how their relationship turned out so I'm happy about that!

I don’t know what I was expecting going in but that reveal was not it 🤯 There were so many twists and turns and I had no idea where it was going the entire time lol The biggest take away is that you never really know people even if you think you do!

This book!! I have so much to say about it but I’m exhausted and my mind it jumbled from the back and forth sobbing and smiling I did the last 40%! All I know is I hope everyone picks up this book when it’s released on 3/7 and gets to experience this incredibly beautiful and heart wrenching story and fall in love with Alexei & Ben as they fall in love with each other 🥰
This is a book about love in all forms at its core. Love of yourself and figuring out who you are and where exactly you fit into the world but at the same time as realizing that you don’t have to change yourself to fit, you’re perfect exactly as you are! It’s also about falling in love when you least expect it and making mistakes along the way but making up for it and finding their way back to each other no matter what. It’s about finding a family, even if it’s not the family you expected.
This was about two guys that had very very different experiences in life and came from vastly different backgrounds but they both had trauma that they needed to work through. Alexei with religious trauma and dealing with having to walk away from his family. It took him until he was almost thirty to realize that he had to be true to himself and even though he knew his community and family wouldn’t accept him, he learned to put himself first. And along the way he found new family but also realized that he didn’t lose everyone from his past life. And Ben with his relationship trauma and feeling like he lost so much time with the people he loves. Having to deal with heartbreak after heartbreak but still putting himself out there again and again. I just loved these two so much and being on their journey was difficult at times but it was also beautiful and made me really happy! 🥰

I don’t even know if I have coherent words right now but here we go lol I LOVE ILYA & SHANE SO MUCH IT HURTS 🥰🥺🥰🥺🥰🥺 first of all, I am very much not ready to be done with this series and I already want to reread over and over! This book was very different from Heated Rivalry but it still had the same heart and humor and intensity that pulled me into Shane & Ilya’s story so fast in the first place! I think a huge aspect of this book was how well mental health of handled! Ilya’s story has always been wrapped around mental illness because of his mom but this is the first time we really saw how it effected him and oh god was it heartbreaking and had me sobbing multiple times throughout the book. But it was also so important that even after everything was out in the open and he had every reason to be happy, his depression was still there. I think so often stories with mental health storylines make it to where everything just magically get better once you fall in love or reach your goals or have any other reason to be happy, but that’s not realistic, even if it sucks. And I think it’s so important to show that everything doesn’t just magically go away when good things happen because that’s how real life works! I especially loved being able to see how steadfast Shane’s love for Ilya is! I was also heartbroken for what Shane went through with his team after they were outed. It was awful and I’m so glad he was able to find a place on the Centaurs 🥰 and don’t even get me started on the wedding, my heart was exploding 🥺🥰
I’m sure I’ll have much more to say about this book and series but for now, I’ll just leave it at this 🥰

I never really had much interest in this book before I saw the trailer for the show for some reason lol but this definitely exceeded my expectations! I especially loved the interview format of it and how there was always that question of whether or not what was said is what actually happened because everyone remembered the events differently! I also think that this book was made for audio so I highly recommend it being consumed that way! Overall, this was just a really interesting story of a fictional band that fell apart for a lot of different reasons at the very height of their career and unraveling why!

The joy this book brought me omg!! 🥺🥰 it’s funny because this is the one that I’ve been least looking forward to since meeting Troy in Tough Guy but I fell in love with Troy & Harris so fast!! Troy’s whole background completely broke my heart and watching him deal with everything on his own was devastating 💔 and then getting to see him slowly open up, especially with Harris, but also with Ilya and Wyatt and Bood and his whole team was so beautiful and seriously made my heart so happy that I literally didn’t want to put this book down! Like I definitely don’t have anything more intelligent to say so I’m just leave it at this, I love Harris & Troy so much 🥰 I’ve been dying to get to The Long Game after finishing Heated Rivalry but not I’m sad I’m almost at the end 😩

Tbh, this was probably my least favorite of the series so far but not because I didn’t absolutely love Eric & Kyle 🥰 I think this book was just kind of repetitive about all the age difference stuff for most of the book and seemed to drag out and then the end was very rushed 🤷🏻♀️ but besides that I loved it! It was really fun to be back with Kip & Scott again and getting to see them through their friends eyes! The highlight of this book for me was Eric & Scott’s friendship, they just love each other so much 🥺 Kyle’s background broke my heart 💔 Eric & Kyle we’re definitely a couple that no one would see coming on the outside but they fit so well together in every single way and I’m so glad they were able to find their way into each others lives 🥰
