This was actually so fun! I picked this book up because I needed a book that was released the year I was born to finish a book challenge and I love stories with haunted amusement parks! The whole plot idea of this story was so much fun!

Omg I loved this 😍 I don’t know if it’s because werewolf stories like this always take me back to the thousands of teen wolf fanfics I’ve read over the years but I didn’t want to put this one down and I’m already yearning to pick up book 2! I 100% understand why it’s been recommended to me so much and I’m very glad I finally picked it up!! 🥰

I found this one while looking for a queer superhero book for a challenge and I loved it so much more than I expected!! This world is so well fleshed out and was so much fun to see how everything turned out! I loved all of the characters and it was so easy to stay invested from start to finish! The twists were a little predictable but I also liked that because they made sense! I can’t wait to dive into books 2 & 3 soon!! Very much recommend ☺️

WOW!!!! This is the first mystery that has completely surprised me in so long!! I did not expect that reveal at all but once everything was explained, everything fell into place and made so much sense!! Just such a good mystery that unfolded perfectly!!

This book was so good!!! A queer, second chance romance is exactly my jam and it was everything I could’ve wanted! This was so much more than just a romance too! Eli & Nick were both so well fledged out individually and so were their respective family members that it was so easy to fall in love with all of them (except Kay, she can rot) and it made the romance that much more special! Also I love a book with an epilogue that’s sets in the future so I was very happy with the ending! 🥰 I did think the whole sinkhole things was weirdly unnecessary and for some reason, it just took me out of the story a little bit? And Eli drove me crazy in specific moments (I did really love him though!) but besides those two things, I really really loved this book and very much recommend it!!

This isn’t my normal genre and I probably wouldn’t have picked it up if it wasn’t recommended to me but it was so good! I think this book is the perfect example of a good memoir because even though I had no idea who Michelle was before reading it, I was invested in her story from the first chapter! Very much recommend!

This was wonderful!! I’m honestly not sure if I’ve ever read a middle grade book? Maybe when I was young but I didn’t get into reading until middle school and I skipped right to YA 🤷🏻♀️ but this book is so special and so important and I honestly think that every kid and every adult needs to read this book and understand what it’s like to know at a young age who you are! Just truly such a needed book and I hope that it’s helped and continues to help so many kids and their families!

This book was beautiful and devastating but so so hopeful! While it definitely has its faults and is very dated, what this book has done for the queer book community is incredible! Knowing that this was one of the first books that had explicit lesbian characters and ended with a happy/hopeful ending is incredible and I’m so glad I finally read this! Definitely recommend this one!

I loved this!! 🥺 Honestly, this book has been on my tbr and I have no idea why it took me so long to finally get to it but I’m so glad I did! This whole story was so much fun! I loved the characters and the mystery and the romance and honestly everything about it! Kit & Percy had 🔥 chemistry that literally jumped off the page and I’d read so many more stories about them!! I got a little bored in the first quarter, thats why it wasn’t a full 5 stars, but once the story really got going, I was hooked!! Very much recommend, especially if you love our flag means death!

I really really enjoyed this!! Very much the definition of a cozy book and is the perfect read for this time of year! I would’ve probably given it 5 stars if *spoiler alert* (do I need to put a spoiler warning for an almost 150 year old book? 🤔) Jo hadn’t ended up getting married. I know that the publishers pushed for her to end up with someone (which is annoying 🙃) but she is so aroace coded and I feel like it took so much away from her character 🤷🏻♀️ I also don’t understand how anyone thinks she should’ve ended up with Laurie either because 1. They never would’ve worked and 2. She didn’t need to end up with anyone 🤷🏻♀️ but anyway, I totally understand why this is such a beloved classic and I’m glad I finally read it! 🥰 now onto watch the 2009 adaptation!
