I loved Grace and getting to see her rediscover her love of football while also becoming more and more herself! I think the question of “what are you willing to sacrifice for the thing you love and do they align with the things we have to sacrifice to survive?” is such an important question for everyone and is even more relevant for trans people. I am a cis person so I cannot speak for the trans community but I think this was such a great portrayal of a trans teen that’s trying to decide what they want out of the world! I hope this is a book that helps a lot of trans teens that need to see that it’s okay to choose yourself and be happy ♥️ I loved Grace’s friend group, they were all so supportive and it was nice to see that support for her! And while I’m not a football fan, I did love how gritty and real the actual football aspects, from practices to games and even to the football parties, were! Just overall, a great book that I hope people are able to get a lot from!

This was so cute!! I love a good second chance romance and this was no exception! Sometimes second chance doesn’t work for me because of the conflict that made the couple break up originally but this one was great because it was more of a miscommunicated ghosting and not cheating or anything that was irredeemable 🤷🏻♀️ I also think the third act breakup in this story worked really well because it wasn’t derived by miscommunication, it was mainly just timing and I loved that both Celeste & Gemma were able to work on themselves before they fully committed to each other! Just over all very cute with a handful of spicy scenes and an overall entertaining story! I also recommend the audiobook for this one, great narration!

I had a hard time deciding on a rating for this one because there was a lot I loved about it but there was also a lot I didn’t love.
I’ll start with what I loved: I really loved the writing! You can tell that the author knows about hockey and just the way the story was written was really well put together! I loved both main characters, both Mike & Danny are complicated people that carry a lot of pain and you could really feel that pain come through on page. I also loved the side characters and the relationships between those characters and Mike & Danny! And overall, I really liked Mike & Danny as a couple but that’s where it also got complicated for me…
Things I didn’t love: Mike & Danny felt a little rushed? I think it’s because both of them were dealing with so much individually that it kind of overpowered their relationship. I think they’re a couple that could’ve benefited from a second book because the ending just felt a little too tied up in a bow 🤷🏻♀️ I wanted to see more of Danny getting the help he needed for himself and while it wasn’t really “love cures all,” it still just felt a little too clean cut in the end. Also this is probably just a me thing but I think I’ve realized that real enemies to lovers isn’t my favorite 🤷🏻♀️ I can’t understand hating someone so much but still being attracted to them (this is probably an aroace thing as well lol). I’m just more of a rivals to lovers fan because then it’s more just misunderstandings or something outside their control that makes them rivals.
But overall, this kept me really invested and I did really love the characters and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

This was okay? I think the concept was fantastic and I was pretty invested in the beginning but it was kind of slow and just lost my interest by the second half 🤷🏻♀️ this honestly might just be because I’ve been in a slump and nothing has really been hitting lately but idk I was just kind of bored and I think it’s going to be one that I forget about pretty quickly.

This was really cute! I loved both Jasper & Milo and the more they started getting to know each other again and trusting each other, the better and better they got for each other! I loved getting to see Milo confront his fears and start to live for himself and let himself find happiness, it was a really messy and beautiful journey!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I’ve honestly been meaning to read it since it came out and just kept putting it off for some reason lol but I’m glad I finally read it! I love a book with a Fangirl MC and the role play aspect was really intriguing to me! I really loved the friendships and how the reactions turned out once Cass finally started telling the people in her life the truth about things! It also had really great fat and addictive personality representation! My only complaint is that Cass stressed me out for about 80% of the book 😂 but I was still very invested and really enjoyed the story despite that!

This was really sweet! I’ve loved all of Timothy Janovsky’s books so I wasn’t worried about not enjoying this one but it did exceed my expectations! Both Taylor & Ethan were great characters on their own and I loved how different they are but how well they fit together! I do wish they had spent more time together than just a week (mainly just a me thing that doesn’t fully comprehend trusting anyone that quickly 🤷🏻♀️) but I do think everything was handled really well and they just worked for each other! Also the setting was so fun!!

This had a lot of potential but just really fell flat? By the second half of it, I was just pretty bored and I never had any strong feelings about any of the characters, I think maybe because there were just a lot of them 🤷🏻♀️ also just the fact that all three of the girls were still into Nate by the end of the book was odd to me? Like the dude is a serial cheater and yeah he’s hurt but like why would you still want to be with him? 🤦🏻♀️ overall, I think there was just too much going on in this story and it made the whole plot very uninteresting to me 🤷🏻♀️

Going into this one, I was so nervous because I just did not enjoy Forbidden Puckboy at all but I ending up loving this one so much!! Connor & Parker were both so lovable and once they stopped hating each other and really started to bond and understand each other, they helped each other become better versions of themselves! Connor is a complicated character because he had such a false sense of who he was for his entire life and didn’t realize how many people he was hurting while thinking he was doing the things he was supposed to do. It was really lovely to see him own up to his past while also choosing to find himself and start doing the things that he really wanted! Parker was also complicated in the way that he put so much of his anger for the way he was treated growing up on Connor and misplacing the grief he was feeling for his dad to be anger. It was great to see him let go of his anger and realize that everything isn’t so black and white while also learning to trust himself and his feelings and embracing all of the things he loves about himself! This one honestly might have been 5 stars if I wasn’t annoyed through the first few chapters 😂 my brain just can’t comprehend why anyone would be attracted to someone that they obviously hate so much 🤷🏻♀️ (but I mean tbf I can’t really imagine being attracted to anyone in general so 🤷🏻♀️😂)

This book was the perfect mix of emotional and funny and I truly loved every single second of it! Riley was the perfect main character for this story and I loved getting to see her learn and grow and understand more as the story went on! I love a camp setting so I really enjoyed that aspect! I think being someone that grew up going to church but stepping away from organized religion as an adult made me have a really deep understanding of Riley’s issues with the church and the pastor had me fuming and rolling my eyes basically every time he was in a scene 😒 This is definitely a book I will be recommending!!
